Round of a Lifetime

Round of a Lifetime exists to promote heart health and enrich the lives of congenital heart patients through world-class golf experiences.

For most people, playing a round of golf at a world-class course is a dream they can aspire to. For others, it's a lifeline - a wish come true for someone who may not otherwise ever have the opportunity to do so. The Round of a Lifetime Foundation is a 501c3 Non- profit organization that strives to change the lives of individuals challenged by congenital heart disease and are passionate about the sport of golf. Our goal is to create awareness of congenital heart disease and the impacts it has on our loved ones. We want to provide an opportunity for individuals struggling with a heart condition to play one of our country's finest golf courses, all-expenses-paid. We are excited to provide life-changing experiences to those dealing with heart-related conditions.

"I can't believe I got picked. I was very excited to see where we were going and some of the course options were great, but as soon as Carnoustie was on the table it was a no-brainer to pick here. I've watched the British Open and all the professionals who come over here and it certainly lives up to the hype, that's for sure."

"Along with my new diagnosis, I was told golf was one of the few activities I could still do. Today, the golf course is my happy place. I love the peacefulness and the challenge of the game."

"My Dad contacted Round of a Lifetime and told them about my condition. He got an email during the summer to say that we have been chosen to play TPC Sawgrass. I didn’t even know that he threw my name down and can't believe it. It's the first time they have ever chosen somebody outside of America.”

"Because of my heart condition, I have not always been able to do everything my friends can, but have found great joy in playing golf and tennis, neither of which are limited by my heart condition."

Remembering Andrew

The Round of a Lifetime Foundation was established in 2010 to preserve the memory and passion of Andrew Maciey, who passed away from Familial Dilated Cardiomyopathy at the age of 24. His surviving friends and family fondly recall spending time on the golf course with Andrew and established the Foundation to create lasting memories for others with congenital heart disease through the game he loved so much.
